I am looking for a little guidance in relation to an 80w solar panel that I am installing. If anyone can help that would be great!
I want to be able to disconnnect and remove the panel easily and am therefore thinking about a through deck connector (2-pin) mounted somewhere in the cockpit.
The rating for the solar panel from the datasheet is -
Nominal power - 80w
Max-Power current - 4.45A
Max-Power voltage - 18v
There are numerous through deck connectors available but I am unsure as to which rating is suitable given my requirements above. I also want to install a plug/socket that can cope with a possible upgrade to a larger panel at some point.
If anyone can help with the most appropriate rating for the socket or even suggest one that would be really useful.
Many thanks in advance.
