Does anyone have or know where I can get a service manual and parts list for a Vetus Ursus manual anchor windlass.
Any help would be appreciated as I have searched the web and can only find an operator and installation manual.

It does give maintenance details but not strip down. Im puzzled by the statement that the hexagonal nut on the top is not an oil filler. The lofrans royal says the same - are they the same? And, what is the bolt for? I took mine out once - it was a bu33er to get back in.

I contacted Vetus and they don't have any info, but they were able to tell me that the winch was made for them by Lofrans. So hopefully the inside bits are the same as the Royal. As for the bolt I will be able to tell you in about a week when I strip it down completely.

The bolt on top is an axle for one of the gears inside. There's an exploded diagram here, if it helps, as the Lofrans website doesn't work any more.
