Ventnor Marina?

I'm sure I read somewhere that Ventnor was building a visitors marina using the Brighton technique. Sailing past there the other day, admittedly a couple of miles off, I couldn't see any signs of such activity. Anything known or have I had yet another 'senior moment'

If you go in a little closer you will see that the breakwater is pretty much complete (was a few weeks back) and I've heard that they are hoping to have it open towards the end of the summer. It isn't easy to spot this from a couple of miles off, but they have a collection of site huts and diggers so presumably progressing. I'm off to Cherbourg this weekend so will try to take a look and gets some pictures.

It's going to dry at low tide. Once the local fishing boats have moved in and room is left for the slipway, there won't be much space. I think "marina" might be a slight exageration.
