Thanks for posting those Rupert.

I love the Corinthian nature of the low-budget teams, competing in old boats. The race can be split into the foiling boats and the non-foiling ones. Pip's boat may be old, but it's a good boat. Nobody should doubt her determination, and a good finish in the non-foiling category would be a great result for her. As always with this event, just to make it around to the finish will be a huge achievement.

That right now 61 year old Jean Le Cam is out in front (albeit briefly, for sure) in "Le Professor" Desjoyaux' old boat, winner of the 2008-9 event, is a joy.

They were discussing whether he might have been over the line. It was bleedin' obvious that he was.

The timing on the tv screen didn't tie up with the countdown by the starter in the boat so something was a bit out, I think it may have been closer than it looked but definitely over early
