just been at the press conference of next VG, held in UNESCO HQ.
44 candidate skippers were there, there will be 40 final entrants); second most numerous nationality British , all spoke very good French.
Aim of the conference the announcement of some measures on the environmental side, from 2028 the boats will have some ocean/air measurement instruments onboard, not strictly mandatory for this next edition; to be funded by UNESCO.
No particular news on the sport side, except thermic engines will be forbidden from 2028.
