Has the windytv tracker stopped working? Or is it just my bad connection (currently in Nigeria which is ostracised by much of the internet).

I've also had problems with tracks today - across a couple of sites. Very odd.

My understanding is that the VG have prevented the Forss tracker from functioning. Assume too much traffic was going there rather to VGs own awful tracker and maybe the sponsors got upset. There are some comments about it on VG Facebook page if you want to support the "petition" to get it reinstated. Great shame as it was far more enjoyable and easier to spot what was happening with development of the depressions etc. than the very slow VG tracker site...

Vendee Globe is ill advised. Very disappointing if correct. I only became enthusiastic about the race because of that Tracker and will now go back in my box and forget it!

I'm inclined to agree with you.
I shall be shouting for Alex, but not quite from in my box.
If the currently available data are correct, Alex looks to be sailing into a big hole in the wind, while Armel will manage to hold on to it.

Interesting. https://gis.ee/vg/?boat=2 now shows the posistions as 0500 GMT this morning. Maybe there has been a change of heart?

I have just realised on the gis.ee site that when you click on (for example) the +12hr button to move forwards, that the boat positions are also predicted (on current course and speed)..
Is that a new feature or did I just miss it previously?

I think you just missed it. The feature can be turned on/off by clicking the yellow icon with two arrows.
