I see the big chandlers in the Solent, Force 4 and MarineSuperStore, no longer seem to stock Velox. Certainly no longer shown on their websites
Does anyone know why?
Is it being withdrawn maybe?

A continuous tightening of regulations regarding antifoul paint will gradually see all the smaller players removed from the market. It must be hard to compete with the Internationals and Hempels of this world if you produce one small specific product and the regulations change year on year.

The Boatpaint website says "Velox Plus is no longer available for sale in the UK due to COPR registration issues." Trilux 33 is a suitable alternative.

I have given up anti-fouling the prop as polishing with Brasso seems to give roughly equal results to Velox but then I found much of the latter didn’t adhere very well to hammerite primer

Vic got it right! I think there's a cost involved in registering for COPR, and the makers of Velox probably didn't think it was economically worthwhile in view of likely sales in the UK.
I am surprised Velox needs it but I assume some blanket regulation. The active ingredient in Velox is used to treat certain types of dermatitis.
