Velox Plus prop antifoul no longer available?

I am currently testing a ceramic coating that is used to protect new car paintwork, it cost me 25 euro for a tiny bottle with applicator and is an amazing water repellant and resists stone chips. When I hauled out a few months ago I cleaned my max prop and gave it six coats over 3 days. I reckon if it will protect paintwork at 100mph then is got a good chance of working on my prop 😜

Unfortunately I don't read Italian and have no desire to use Instagram.
Primer: the new improved formulation for more effective protection against corrosion and perfect adhesion even in the presence of critical situations, such as cathodic over-protection, galvanic currents and stray currents.

👉We show you in photos of METAL PRIMER coated with VELOX antifouling:
➡️in the BEFORE photo: the METAL PRIMER in the standard version until 2023
➡️in the AFTER photo: the METAL PRIMER in the improved 2024 version, after a month immersed in sea water with an impressed current to simulate an extreme situation of cathodic over-protection and after adhesion testing carried out with the cross-cut method (EN ISO 2409) .
The new formulation has perfect adhesion even after strong stress, unlike the standard formulation which highlights several points with delaminations

The question is - will the barnacles ignore the theory.

I'm all for innovation - can you keep us informed - please.

Interesting! Be interested to hear how it goes with adhesion.

Thanks for the translation. It seems they may have reformulated from solvent based to water based, which Hammerite did many years ago.
I have tried to compare the cost of these two primers, a little difficult as I am in France and some figures are converted to euros and some are not. However, Hammerite seems to sell in UK for £7-8 whereas the Marlin primer is well over £20 for the same volume.
My results with Hammerite have been so spectacularly good that I am not tempted to change

If that impressive water repellancy is effective underwater, it might not enhance propulsion efficiency

Google finds them from about £4.50 to about £7. A bit pricey but not exactly high price.

Over here that specific Hammerite is £12.34 for 250 ml.

Just to complete the picture, here are the prices for some etching metal primers in £:

While looking around I stumbled over https://www.force4.co.uk/item/Marlin/Metal-Primer-500ml/108B at £30 (£60 / liter). Compared to e.g. a 750ml can of normal metal primer (Wickes Red Oxide) that costs £18.00 (£ 36 / liter), the difference is notable, me thinks.
