Why don't you follow the instructions on the tin. I used International Schooner Gold on my tiller this year as I wanted to improve my varnishing skills without messing about with 2 pack. I downloaded the data sheet and stuck to it. 12 Hrs between coats (for the temperature I was working in), sanded every 2nd coat and thinned according to the instructions. Got a finish that looks like a piece of glass has been bent around the wood. it's not 100% perfect but it's pretty damn good!
