Van der Valk 23M in build

Good afternoon all,
Sorry for the fact that it has been a while that I have posted some new pics. It was quite a rush last few weeks/months.
In the meantime quite some things have happened, I have made some pictures.

The yacht is fully painted in a custom Alexseal metallic. Except for the stern and the stern bulwarks part. They have been painted in white.

Yes, the one bathroom does look a bit glitzy but then this is bespoke boat building........I'll chase Yoeri to post some internal shots of the 26m RPH.
I have a few but I am sure he will have better ones than me.:encouragement:

Hey newWave,

These are a few pics of the 26M RPH still under construction. She is now in Düsseldorf so I don't have the most up-to-date ones. But it already gives you an impression.

Are those speakers for the music system? they look like something from an 80's mobile disco??

Great job on the interior and exterior, yoeri. The engine bay looks v clean. What kind of soundproofing do you use there?

Hahah!

The owner is fond of parties. We implemented for him a FOHHN Audio system that provides club level dB's. The system contains about 40.000 Watt. Outside there are 2 more big 18 inch sub woofers (built into the stern of the ship) and 2 removable 3-way satellite speakers for the aft deck, and on the flybridge deck 1 big 6th order bandpass sub and 2 mini removable line array systems.

+1

now a day's there are speakers available which can produce high quality sound at ear damaging levels, which are less then half the size,
(for that room space) and look more elegant
sorry to say, this not state of the art. (excuses for neg. comments, this is my business)

but the finishing and quality of the furniture looks outstanding on the other hand, congrats !!
and completely different styling from the 23m (Luckyly ;-) )
I'll drop by in Dusseldorf for having a closer look, see you there yoeri ?

Maybe you could tell us where the owner intends to keep it ,please,so that we can ensure we are in a different country.

sorry, didnt mean to sound negative, liking the finish and style a lot. the speakers just look out of place! its their boat tho and if thats what they want!!

i think its needing a "special pole" tho... wheres Moose when you need him?

How long before someone asks if it has jack up suspension and strobing UV lights as well?:)
The owner is VERY into his sound quality, I know how much he has spent on this system and believe me for that outlay it should sound amazing…….wherever in the world it is!:listening_headphone

Hi Mike, thanks!
The entire ER is coated with Mascoat Delta DB (sound damping coating), then Rockwool is applied to al the walls and ceilings and thereafter covered with Bondal plating.

Hi Bart,

Yes you are right! But he (read owner) specifically chose this particular system. I must say, the speakers are not the smallest, but the sound quality is very good both on high and low sound lvls.

Yes I'm there the entire show, just tell the reception you know me! See you at the show! :)

He intents to go to the Adria or the Med, no mooring fixed yet! ;-)

Don't worry z1ppy, I understand your point! :)
You mean a dancing pole? ;-)

Jeez, that bathroom!! There's no accounting for taste. Otherwise a truly fab looking boat
You must be joking.
The choice of mosaic (mix and colour selection) could surely be better, but other than that, the shower looks gorgeous.
What about the Ionic capitals wooden columns, instead?!?
Make me wonder if the owner is American or Russian...... :ambivalence:

Must disagree there, M.
Regardless of whether there are parts requiring maintenance on the external sides of the engines or not, having such restricted access all around the engines just doesn't cut the mustard imho, on a boat of this level.

Judging from the pics, I must say that what impress me most are the wooden floors.
They look fantastic in both boats, even if very different each other.
You must have some good carpenters indeed at the yard, Yoeri.

I originally thought they were Doric but I bow to your greater knowledge of Greek architectural history. You are correct!

Russian, I bet

These things are all personal taste of course, but, I actually like the wood, but couldn't live with the gold in the mosaic

Thanks for the pics on the 26m, amazing interior, much more to my liking then the 23m although that shows more of the carpenters skills.
I am a bit disapointed with the size of the pilot house, from the drawings I expected there to be more seating for guests to enjoy the view.
Not sure if I can make it to Dusseldorf, but if I do I will surely drop by.

I know it's the 23m build thread, but the one thing that disturbs me on the outside is the round window in the side door, I supose you can do something that more fits the window lines ?
