We have popped into Las Fuentes a few times with the boat since she's been in Spain.
There are some significant changes to the area since we holidayed at my parents villa some 20 years ago.
We didn't visit it this time but the restaurant at El Pinar was/is a favourite - on a good day you can see the Columbrettes from there.

El Pinar is my favourite too! Many a happy an evening spent there taking in the spectacular views (and the odd bottle of Rioja Reserva!!)

Could I propose a little drinking game to add a bit of spice to the Valencia GP?

2 Every time Jenny Wren is seen on the telly the spotter must post "Jenny Wren" and participants have to down a measure of Mount Gay.

3 If Mike is spotted on deck: the spotter should post "Hurricane" and that's a double measure.

4 If Mike is seen on deck mooning at the camera, participants have to finish their bottles.

I'm actually quite glad I'm not there because:

The sun will be out and putting up our Bimini takes a couple of people 4 or 5 minutes.

The place will be crawling with Spanicians and we would have to eat tapas.

It will be too noisey.

We would have to run the A/C all day.

We would have to drink lots of cold beverages and the girls would probably want champers.

Everyone would be looking at us.

There would be little wavelets nibbling at the hull.

Err... Have I mentioned the noise?

However with these rules we seem to be the only ones drinking

Actually we have TV on board as well so if we see ourselves you must post a photo of YOURSELF raising a glass in cheer!!

If you see me mooning you must post the words written on each cheek.

BTW we've had a great day - kids got tickets for the pit walk so we've met the drivers in a autograph session and seen the cars up close.
I'll post some pics later this evening.

In the meantime we are having a sweep on the winner this weekend - any ideas?

Potential winner: I've a sneaking feeling that Raikkonnen or Grosjean might make it to the top step of the podium. I hope it's one of the McLaren boys though.
