I'm not aware of anything. FWIW and IIRC there's a Dave Marsh "how to do a sea trial" video on ybwtv youtube channel. By its nature (rather than meaning any criticism of DM) it is a bit lightweight

Thanks JFM. I'm not intending this to be in place of a proper survey so something lightweight is what I'm after (but for first inspection not sea trial). For example, I forgot to check to look at the drives and props on the last boat I viewed.

Just the basic stuff to facilitate the calculation of an offer. If there's nothing off the shelf I'll knock up my own.

Boat buyers Handbook from the RYA would be a good starting point. Available as an e book as well as paper.

Try getting hold of a survey report for a similar model. The surveyor should have commented on all the areas relevant to the boat, if only to confirm that he's checked it. This will give you a good list of things to look at.
