My dad has a secondhand Volvo saildrive in his garage. I believe it's a 120s rather than a 110s, but very similar and possibly fit the same engines? Working order, but very worn clutch plates/cones - he was trying to decide whether he should spend the money to fix this before offering it for sale. No idea what he'd want for it, but I could put you in touch if it sounds like what you want?

Volvo do not physically make much, or any of their engines - they simply, assemble various components, badge and paint. Is the manufacturer of the Saildrives known, PRV et al, - might they not sell direct. Beta, Vetus, Nanni etc must buy from the same source.

Thanks for the offer but I do not think that they are interchangeable as the gear ratios are different

Not the case unfortunately. Although Volvo did not design the drive it is unique to them and not available from elsewhere. Other drives are not direct replacements.
