Has anyone any recommendations for a supplier of mattresses and covers in the Clyde area.Im looking at re-doing my interior " soft furnishing" and there doesn't appear to be an obvious local supplier in Largs. Boat is 34' Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance,Jim

There is at least two companies that advertise on the Largs Marina notice board in the reception. They supply finished upholstery but not loose materials if that is what you are looking for.

Loads of mail order on line.

I am with Spyro on that. I got dodgers that were reasonable in price but were late and do not fit well, despite the boat being available at Ardrossan all winter for measuring and fitting.

Interior furnishings I got done by Jacksons in Argyle Street in Glasgow. They sell a lot of remnants and I bought 20 metres of Dralon from them and got them to make and fit the covers for the cushions for about £7 each labour. Unfortunately their workman went off to Aberdeen on the day I was collecting the results with two of my cushions in his van. I got them back the next week.

Another possibility is Baillies who are on the railway bridge sat Johnstone station. Their quote was considerably more but they supply almost any material. I have heard reports of a professional service and good work from them.

when i went to the scottish boat show in october, i am sure there was one at kip marina, in the large blue building across from the marina ramp entrance...across from where the large marquee is during the boat show.
