My 27 year-old daughter is a final year medical student who’s going to be on placement at St Richard’s Hospital for five weeks from the end of September.
I was going to offer to take my boat round to Birdham or Chichester Marina for her to stay on, but I’d be concerned about getting back to the east coast at the end of October, and I’ve already paid for a year’s berth at Bradwell.
So I wondering if anyone had a boat that would be unused then, somewhere for her to stay, study, and cook a simple meal away from the hospital. Especially if the virus situation makes it difficult to be out in the evenings or go home for the weekends.
She’d want to pay her way, and she’s well boat trained (I should know, because I trained her). She’s grown up with boats and has no illusions about staying on a boat if the weather is bad, but thinks it’s got to be better than hospital accommodation. Like a lot of her colleagues she has really put herself on the line in the pandemic and it would be great if she had somewhere agreeable and boaty to stay. PM me if you prefer.
