EU travel for non-EU spouse of EU citizen - as close as from the horse's mouth you can get?

Having an EU passport has other advantages.

My Irish passport allowed us to walk past probably 1.5hrs worth of queuing non EU passport holders at Geneva airport last Sunday. 😀
That queue is absolutely insane! It's been like that for ages & it's hard to avoid the conclusion they are doing it deliberately.

I also walk past the queue - to immediate service at one of the many underused cubicles for EU passport holders.

Only 1.5 hours? Lisbon had to stop doing biometric checks as the passport queues on one day reached 7 hours, up to 4 hours being fairly normal if a couple of A380s had arrived.

Having residence helps. As you do, we go to manned cubical.

Surprised if LIS didn’t close if a couple of A380s arrived as it isn’t certified for regular A380 use.

Lisbon is at capacity. There's been an ongoing argument for many years over location of new airport. Last I heard is some politicians had privately purchased land north of Lisbon but latest thoughts were to build south of the river. Plenty of high level corruption here so will be interesting to see the outcome.
