How much would you sue them for?
Government agencies tend to value the time we are forced to waste in dealing with them, and the frustration and distress they cause, as entirely valueless.
And suing a government department is a lot more difficult and expensive than suing any other kind of shyster.

The RYA have just done a bit on this in the new mag.
Surely UKBA are just using yachts to train on? As good citizens we should assit them in their training by making it as difficult as possible for them board. Thereby giving them the experience of trying to board in a real scenario.

What would happen if UKBA turned up with the search light and the yachts night watch obviously panicing and thinking they were in danger set off a flare?

No problem, lock the illegals in the focsle, open the sea cocks, sink the boat and praise the UKBA for being there when you needed them!
