The first one is an awful lot of money for a small, rather peculiar, old boat with knackered sails, worn out teak and skin lacerating decks.

Second one looks alright, but with the UV strip on the genoa looking like that I'd be interested to see what the sails are like. Huge engine too for some reason, and a big price tag - but I guess we're getting into the season.

What happened about that nice boat you looked at? Can't remember exactly what it was, but neat, tidy, pretty and 7k?

The Gregal - just no!

The Garbi - possibly.
I note there's no interior pictures.
Re KevinV's comment on genoa UV strip - looks like there's two different eras of photos - one with faded paler blue (than mainsail cover) genoa UV strip (+ grubby waterline and rudder partially bare), the other with darker blue (than mainsail cover) or black UV strip (+ hull cleaned/polished and rudder anitfouled). Don't know which is the most recent. Anyway a faded UV strip, and even a tired sail, is just something to consider against price, not a reason not to get the boat.
Engine is big, but not so big it couldn't be lived with? I guess part of the reason for the high price may be the owner hoping to get back the cost of a recent looking engine.

Thanks for your observations, going this weekend to see the Garbí The big engine puts me off but Guess it could be changed, going with the wife so it has to pass the narrow side deck test😂 It’s. about an an hour and a half from home so initially could stay there the price is too high first off but the owner doesn’t seem to be in a rush to sell

A boat in good nick and well looked after is worth a significant premium (if you can afford it). Or to look at it another way, better a less 'perfect' design of boat if that particular one is well looked after.

Narrow side decks are a minor inconvenience, and in my view shouldn't rule out an otherwise good boat. I've had boats with them and much as I would have liked wider side decks, they aren't at all the first issue that springs to mind when I think of those boats' pluses and minuses. As I've said before, you usually soon develop - almost unconsciously - a method to negotiate such obstacles. On a small boat, you either have narrow side decks, significantly less room below, or a more treacherous flush-deck type arrangement with high-ish topsides and restricted views from the interior. Of course the obvious solution is a 40 footer! :D

I don't know if this boat is the Damio you looked at before that you said had now been sold.

It’s the same class but this one has an outboard.
