Sneaky blighter, ain't he?

Does a wonderful job of getting everybody together, sets up a website page to show the list of 'runners and riders', keeps it up to date, etc etc. The one thing he didn't do was publicise which boat he planned to use for transport, despite a number of offers.

Lo and behold, today he announces he is crew on the biggest boat in the fleet!

Talk about keeping your options open until the last minute !!

Damn, you spotted the ploy!

In reality, I'de been trying to persuade a mate to take his 44 footer across, but he won't coz his GPS is broke (Ahhh!). And I remember the days when he and I used to sail across in a 25 footer with only a handbearing compass and a Sailor DF for company.
