Hi folks,
I have removed a turbo from my port engine due to a coolant leak between the exhaust manifold and turbo. I have the new gasket kit ready to go.
Removing was a pain due to limited access (VP TAMD41A). 3 of the 4 nuts came off, and the stud came loose on the 4th but I managed to get of of so all good there. I plan to clean up the threads and refit. What do the experts use to retorque the nuts as you can't get a socket on it. Would a standard shape 15mm crows foot plus torque wrench do the trick?
Also, I would value input on how the turbo looks. there is not play on the compressor wheel, or other but there is a bit of soot. It spins freely but doesn't run on it's own (if that makes sense). See this video for clarity.
Here are pics of both sides.

I have never clapped eyes on a turbo in the flesh so would appreciate some opinions from those who have seen these things many times before. Do I refit, refurb, clean (please don't say replace).
Also, I assume I follow the steps in the manual for refitting, including the 'priming' with oil and running with starter motor to build oil pressure etc?
Thanks in advance,
D
