i have just removed my bulb from my tri colour and there is no wattage marked on it. any ideas what it should be, i have 25 watts in my head but that seems a little high?

thanks

alex

25 w for the coloured part, 10 for the anchor light is what I had fitted. I swapped for a loppolite last year and have the triwhite on my desk.

For vessels over 12m, but less that 50m, the visibility must be 2miles for all three sectors. This is achieved with a 25 watt bulb.

Under 12 m you can reduce the power to give 1 mile visibility for the coloured sectors although the white (stern light) sector should have a visibility of 2 miles. A 10 watt bulb will achieve this and is available as an alternative to the 25 watt bulb for the likes of Aquasignal lights.

Remember it is a special bulb with a vertical filament, which gives a distinct separation between the coloured sectors, on a spiral support which does not affect the uninterrupted all-round visibility of the light. (Its expensive of course!)
