If its not too late, and you live near Inverness, have you had a word with Jamie Hogan at Calley Marina? I transported a 32' ketch from Caley Marina to Tomatin using local transport, can't remember the name now, but it turned out Jamie used them as well. Was quite cheap, used one of Jamie's cradles and a hiab onto a flat bed.

DON'T lift the boat onto the transport by lifting the trailer, it will puncture the boat. Tie the trailer to the boat and lift the boat. It's the same procedure if using a cradle.

Never thought of that but then I'd put that to the haulier. I will add a note of that just in case. Galt transport seem ok with the request and cost so far
