Hi Guys,

I have just bought this Colvic Watson 28.6 and wanted to know if anyone could identify these transducers two GRPed to the hull and the other just off the bottom
No 1 is filled with oil and does not go through the hull

No2 I have no Idea
No3 sits just off the bottom

Could anyone help to identify them and if so what would they be compatible with and should I remove them?
At the moment I am looking to Fit Depth Speed and temp transducers could these still be used. Cheers for any advice

Regards

No 1 looks like a Nasa or Seafarer 150KHz echo sounder transducer.
The other ones seem to be in custom enclosures so you will probably have to open them up.
Were there any electronics with the boat?
What plugs are on the other end of the cables?

Hi, Thanks for that the previous owner removed all the instruments just leaving a Fuso 405 Fish Finder not connected.

A genuine seafarer transducer. It's a spare for the one in my boat.

I think the Nasa one is the same and as Seafarer (picture below). As Seafarer are no longer made, it might be easier to get hold of a Nasa sounder.
Most more modern sounders work at 200kHz and will require a different transducer.
