I have just heard that Phil (of Phil & Emma) had died suddenly. I have no other news at this time.

This is very tragic as Phil was very young. Not sure if he was even 50 yet. I will put up more information as I get it. I'm sure others here will whack up anything they hear too.

Phil suffered a massive heart attack last night and didn't recover, he was only 47, I'm proud to say he was a good friend and will be greatly missed.

Obviously all our thoughts are with Emma as she comes to terms with her loss.

For anyone who doesn't know Phil and Emma their forum name is "pande".

This is truly very sad news, Phil was a great bloke to be with and loved socialising, it is a tragic loss to us all but especially to Emma of course. Our thoughts are with her and we will do our best to help through the most difficult of times.

Just goes to show what a community this forum actually is; I only met Phil vicariously; waving from the back of a boat and posting on here, but I feel that I do know him a little and am saddened by this news, and my deepest condolences to all close to him

I didn't know what to say - I do now. Seconded.

Hey Guys,
Thank-you all so much for your kind words.
I am obviously just numb at the moment.
To get me through I have to draw on the positives.........
Last night Phil awoke complaining of trapped wind. he called me sometime later to say that he really wasn't feeling very well and had slight chest pain and some tingling in his left arm. I called 999 but sadly as I was speaking to the operator/medic he became unresponsive. The paramedics seamed to be there instantly with an ambulance following very quickly. They worked on him for approx 45 mins but could not bring him back.
I trully believe that he was almost gone when the medic arrived and did not suffer in any way.
It all happened so quickly that I hope he knew that I was there at the end.
I will miss him dreadfully - I loved him so dearly.
I am going to need all the support that I can get to get my life back - nothing will ever be the same again.
Emma
