Towing in Spain

I'm considering trailering my 19 ft fishing boat down to Murcia after we've moved over. Any restrictions on weight etc that anyone may know of? Probably take ferry to Bilbao/Santander. Thanks

The weights and sizes are EU wide. As long as you conform to UK regs, you should be OK. If towing with a Spanish reg car, then more complicated, as the trailer will probably have it's own reg and you will need an add on to your licence. I trailed a 24ft from UK to S. Portugal and had 0 interest. But it was on UK plates.

If you plan on leaving it there or becoming a resident there are tax and licencing implications for the boat, and trailer,

Yes, been following threads on liveaboard forum and as I understand it I have 30 days grace from when we get residency. As we won't have moved over until latter part part of this year, I think we have until end of 2016 as non residents and 182 days of 2017 before taking out residency, so ample time to sort everything ---- hopefully. If I'm mistaken here then corrections gratefully received.
