As per other thread we're planning a roughs towers circuit tomorrow. If anyone fancies a sail (we're only 2 up at the moment) do PM me.

10hrs 50mins door to door RNSYC to Shotley soldiers wind 20 to 25knts seas 1 to 2M made making the bacon sarnies a tad difficult but a blast of a sail.

Well, we sailed as far as Pin Mil - then it started gusting 25-30kts.
Discretion is the better part of valour, so headed back. :eek:
It got beyond fun, or even interesting and sporting. ;)

Same - here... came out of Shotley, raised some sail in the lee of the container port and.... turned left - up the Orwell. Had a great sail up the river (lee rail under on a couple of occasions), turned and sailed back until wind on nose - then a bit of motoring

Then a surf up the Stour to Wrabness under headsail alone - and back to Shotley - F&C in the Shipwreck washed down with a couple of pints of Greene King's finest.

Roughs Towers circuit - keeping that for another day :)
