Hi Everyone,

I have recently returned from a delivery from Holland to Cornwall. I was inspired by one of Dylans' films and decided to record over three hours of the passage from Sneek, through the IJsselmeer towards Amsterdam. The footage is condensed into just a few minutes... Have a look and see what you think!

If anyone else has any good time lapsed filming or photography to share then I'd love to see it!

Great! I've made 'time lapse' videos by recording normally, then using VirtualDub to 'decimate' the frame rate by 25 and increase the playback rate 25-fold. What I want to do is to record at 1 or less fps, but my recorders can't do it. Did you record at a low frame rate or did you do something like I did?

Very good. A great way to fit more in to short film. Is the guy on the bow rope really as camp as it makes him look?

My housemate recorded a timelapse of us putting the masts up on KS this year. Perhaps fortunately, the batteries ran out before we realised we'd forgotten the burgee halyard and had to take the mainmast down again :D

I have been asked a few questions by private message about the music... It is by Humphrey Milles - another track can be heard here:

I am currently trying to get to grips with premier pro, but for now am still using windows live movie maker.

Here is a non sailing time lapse film that I think is great...

Enjoy!

This isn't mine but I like it..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMnmjtVCG_4

What kit are you using for your capture? I want to do some of this using my GoPro camera but am just working out what software to use for editing as windows live moviemaker doesn't deal with the MP4's that the camera produces.

I use a Sanyo Xacti - It's pretty small and waterproof... It was recommended by Dylan and I have been really pleased with it!
