Throwing a rope out part 2

My dad has given me an 100 foot SAS abseiling rope. This rope is completely static and has zero, zilch, no stretch. This means its down right dangerous for him (he's a cave/climbing instructor).

I won't throw it out. But what uses could I have for this on the boat?

It's a little thick for a haliyard. Mooring rope is a possibility but as I say, no stretch.

I've used it for halyards on: 30 gaff cutter and a Comanche 32 catamaran.

Friends have used it for the halyards on their SHE 31b.

Might be good for sheets, but the stuff we've got is a bit thin for comfortable handling (so maybe different size to yours).

Definitely not for mooring lines.
