From today's Times:
"Three young men who went to sea at Littlehampton, West Sussex, in a 7ft inflatable dinghy, wearing shorts and tee-shirts and with only a bottle of wine and one paddle, were rescued after 11 hours in the Channel. Observers said that they thought they had reached France, greeting rescuers with "bonjour""
Who says Brits aren't optimists!
