You should be able to see the speed in the "Places" bar in Earthoogle.

the track doesn't seem to be updating very often at the moment, not sure why, I hope it magically sorts itself out

I'm getting regular hourly sat updates with just the occasional missing so not sure why this is happening. The track seems to have stopped just before midnight last night
The last update was 10:32 26.0586N 61.5492W

yes, but I started updating the track again at 9am ish, think it was 0932 but so far only the 1132 update seems to have found its way onto the tracking website. Nothing has gone into Earthoogle yet but I'm expecting that 1132 update to go in there in a second...Earthoogle updates the track at 5mins past the hour. If it doesn't go in then,,,,erm...???!!!
