isn't it telling that as far as I know neither Eberspatcher or Webasto make an internal exhaust, you have to ask why not!!
Have you asked them ?

Too numerous to mention, join the FB group and you'll soon be enlightened. I am sure there are plenty of very happy customers and there are some very neat installations in sheds, green houses, campers etc but there are some interesting issues and failures. These may by down to bad installation/bad fuel/lack of voltage but whilst my D5 is clicking away nicely, I'll continue to monitor FB.What problems? The installation is the same for any brand of these diesel heaters
So they do make one and charge twice the price of a complete Chinese heater ?
Dennis, you don't get it!
They are reasurringly expensive which gives some users comfort.
Don't let facts get in the way of a good story....

Are you suggesting that the Gas Safety Scheme hasn't saved lives?Yup you certainly get a piece of paper to put in your file. I have watched many installers sign those in my time![]()

Do you think that the general public should be able to install their own gas appliances and re-wire their houses (just with the help of a few YouTibe videos and Facebook Groups) without any regulation?

No but there are nevertheless plenty of folk with enough skill/knowledge to do many jobs without having a jobs for the boys certificate on their wall. Technically I think a certified gas fitter is required to change the on board regulator hose in our outside sealed/drained gas locker which I could do in my sleep.

Ah I see.... so you refer to a group called "Chinese diesel vehicle air heaters - troubleshooting", of which I am a member. I would suggest that the clue for you is in the name of the group. It is hardly going to attract people looking to praise their installations is it?Too numerous to mention, join the FB group and you'll soon be enlightened. There's even a name for it - the "Dunning–Kruger effect".
They might do but they won't be able to sell their houses without the necessary paperwork. Nor rent them out.Who regardless of any regulations will no doubt still do it themselves anyway unless big brother closes all the DIY stores except to certified folk The key is to know your limitations and summon professional help when needed.
That wouldn't work, they would just buy Chinese parts over EBay ? ?Who regardless of any regulations will no doubt still do it themselves anyway unless big brother closes all the DIY stores except to certified folk The key is to know your limitations and summon professional help when needed.
But as I said before, people don't understand their limitations and they often don't know what they don't know.
