Deben Inns transformed the Melton Coach and Horses, so we look forward to the Ramsholt Arms..
Just looked at the menu for the Maybush at Waldringfield another one of Deben Inns and at £10 for lasagne, fish and chips or a burger I won't be rushing there!!
Don't they still run those pubs? The Ramsholt has been very hit and miss for the 20 years I have been going there. I have never got on with Adnams beer so I hope they have some other decent stuff.
We don't eat out often, but when we do we look for something more than just sustenance - we'd like a nice meal.
decent pastry (I can't do pastry and Mrs isn't much better) that we do not have at home.
If I need sustenance I have that in plenty on the boat!
My friend Fray Bentos does all the pastry I ever need.
Amen to that Brother....
No oven necessary, put opened tin on ring and cook for a bit - still just as yummy and nutritious.
K failed his outward bound survival course![]()
Maybe I took military rat packs and Kendall mint cake when I last spent time on Dartmoor and the in the Welsh Mountains!
It was about 30 years ago!!
Just thinking cooking a FB on the ring would end up with soggy pastry and would give me horrendous heartburn.
Thats wot Rennies were made for
Sprinkle crushed antacid tabs on for a minty topping? Sweet.
No FB pies onboard Karouise - no oven![]()
