I don't wish to offend but after thinking about this for twenty years, I finally worked out why you all prefer glass boats to wooden boats - you can conceal the wiring to the cabin lights under the headlining - very clever.

I think you might be right. Those of us who are owned by wooden ones are commonly more concerned about re-wiring!
