The Place name on the transom - Gosport or Portsmouth?

As a part 3 reg only, I have no "home port" according to the registry person on the phone.

Neither do I have one in reality, as liveaboard wanderers. Should I put "Falmouth" on there, or something, to appease those amphibian customs and excise people over the water?

Am I likely to get in the poo for this?

Heard this question a few times as lots of foreign forms like you to fill in the home port as if pt 3 didn't exist

Think I'd just be inclined to make something up. Adopt-a-port. How about the one which treated you best? Not Salcombe then!

surprised SteveClayton hasn't added to this thread - his boat is Part1 registered as Seraph of Royal Clarence, so not Portsmuff or Goshport but the marina itself.
