Does anything beat that feeling when you've just had the hull and stern gear cleaned & polished.

More speed, less fuel, the boat becomes a surgical instrument :)

That is very nice. Out of interest what is the max knots you get when she is at her most dirty

My little girl goes from 30 knts to 17 nts

Probably drops down to 25 or 26 max.

We have quite big CAT C12 715hp engines which more importantly have about 3000Nm of torque each so there is plenty of grunt to get her up onto the plane. The transition onto the plane is almost invisible.

Years ago when we had the Phantom 42 the fouling made more of a difference. The 63P engines needed to hit a certain spot before the turbos would come in and pop us on the plane, with a mucky bottom you almost couldn't get there.
