The Ideal retirement boat?

Our steel Bromptons are 17 years old and have spent the vast majority of their life onboard. They live under the saloon table. They have some corrosion on the frame now so I am just having them shot blasted and powder coated. They have had very little maintenance over their life and they still perform perfectly.

Our Di Blasis, bought because Bromptoms were too B expensive, are twenty years old. They have had bits worked on, such as gears, but the frames and wheels etc look like new, just the result of an hour's effort once a year.

Certainly in the spirit of retirement. You would have plenty of time to admire the passing scenery.

Yes, but re the Di Blasis worth more than you paid for them now? ? have you seen how much Bromptons goes for even 17 years old!

I think they were £400-ish each at he 2001 Earls Court show. We bought them there and took them home on the tube/train. It was the speed of deployment and undeployment that impressed us compared to our old Dahons. Short wheel base, but decent bikes.
