The "f" word (as in G Ramsey)

Re: The \"f\" word (as in G Ramsey)

On his radio 1 interview, did I hear right?? His own, at home kitchen, has a £66k oven, although he pointed out he didn't actual pay £66k for his, something bloody flash from some firm in Paris...

£66k to fry-up ya morning bacon eggs!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Yep,

You heard right. In another interview he admitted his kitchen at home (like Jamie his wife has another) cost £250k! Mind you he admitted it did not cost him half as much and is used for lots of PR shots. So if you take the 'water cooled' cooker away then the kitchen only cost £184k...bargain!

Re: The \"f\" word (as in G Ramsey)

In another interview they claimed it was 500k. I have designed quite a few commercial kitchens, and I dont think it would be possible to spend this amount of money on a kitchen of this size alone. I think the 500k is the total cost including building/decs etc. The £250k stated sounds about right for the stupidly (Yes I am jealous!) expensive equipment in there.
