Still so acceptable, contemporary, sociable, macho .etc. to drink themselves senseless. What a pointless waste, only those in the drink industry gain; NHS, police, neighbours, society in general lose hands down.

Signage??? "Please don't jump into the river it's wet"

Happy for signage where a danger is unexpected but I do find it daft near rivers and cliffs and railway lines where the danger is totally bl**ing obvious.

Totally agree. If the septics can cope with the Grand Canyon without putting up railings and Danger notices (even on the dangerous bits) you would think our lot would recognise that jumping into a swollen river would perhaps carry a degree of risk without having to spell it out!
