My inflatable tender came supplied with the cheapest and nastiest inflation pump available, half the time it doesn't even pump as the air pressure escapes around the piston.

Any recommendations for obtaining a decent quality dinghy pump? Hand or foot, but preferably foot I think.

I also recommend Bravo pumps, particularly their double acting (pumps on both the up and down stroke) stirrup pumps. They do various sizes, choose the biggest you have space to store. Beware of those designed specifically for high pressure SUPs as they can pump at higher (30psi?) pressures that will burst an inflatable tender (that may only take 3psi). I have one of these Bravo 6 2 x 2500cc Stirrup Pump which is quick.

You could buy a ryobi with a battery pack -great for paddle boards but also car tyres , dinghies etc etc. there are a whole range of ryobi tools so batteries also fit strummers, mowers etc. as you tend not to be using the garden tools on board works well for us . You can also buy the bag to keep the spare batteries charger etc in plus any extension tubes etc . We do also have manual up /down pumps plus the foot pump type that come with Avon dinghies etc but probably 95% of pumping done by battery one plus it also deflates very well and you can use for vacuum bags for bedding etc if the cabled electric type not on board
