The pontoon has arrived at Teignmouth and we were the first to use it this weekend. They reckon that it'll take up to 8 boats (so long as they're not to big).
Far better than the buoys they had before. A great improvement.

Good pubs across the river at Shaldon, and one of the best chandlers I've seen for ages.

Tempting to have a go but the river entry looks a bit daunting to me.
Is there 1.5 m of water up to the new visitors pontoon?

Try it in good conditions and you should be OK.

I didn't check the depth (I only need 1 metre) but the outside of the pontoon will certainly be OK. The harbour master was very helpful.

One tip. Whatever the direction of the tide, moor up facing upstream. The tide on the ebb is strong, but its weak on the flood.
