Fed up with reading about running away from work and sailing, and being beaten up by giant Moodys in the Walton Channel - chance would be fine thing.

Thing is, got a really nice old sailing boat - old, means always something needs fixing, yes? So, busy fixing again this weekend, took a break to visit HMS Grafton visiting Ipswich, and gazed over the Orwell at the crowds of boats sailing downriver. Tried thumbing a lift, but the jump down into the water was pretty high. Then the cutest little sailing dinghy steamed by, one chap on board. And I thought I'd like one of those, when I cant sail the big one, just for pottering around the river. How about a Topper? - too big to keep on board 35ft. Then saw a Taz on the Topper website, which looked fine (and I could teach the grandchildren to sail). Has anyone experience of a Taz?

Grr - off you lot go, then, sail away! Mumbling back to work grrrr...

My neighbour bought one for his 8year old girl, second hand. She went for her first sail in it about 3 weeks ago on the Norfolk Broads, went sailing off out of sight and didn't reappear for about 2 hours! It was considered a success. Apparently sails OK but really only suitable for kids and early teenagers I thought.
I have doubts now - can't really remember whether it was a Taz or not... must be withdrawal symptoms after the weekend!
