Tax Free Stuff to Gibraltar

We are about to order a Windpilot from Hamburg. As we are en route from Spain to Canaries it seems sensible to have it flown to Gib airport and fitted in Sheppards which in theory should save VAT.

Anybody any experience of similar? Are we going to face a wave of bureaucracy from Gib Customs?
