i have removed the injectors from my thorneycroft t90. i cannot see any corrugated washers on the injector tip seating. they did not come out when the injector was removed. thy may be compressed flat on the seating but i cannot tell from looking down into the head or they may have been omitted when the injectors were last out. do i just fit another washer ? any ideas?? ( these are not the thick copper washers on the upper part of the injector)

You can usually see if they are present due to their corrugation. If the base of the seat is flat and smooth I doubt that any were installed. I do not know your particular engine but the washers are usually made of steel and hence are magnetic. If you cannot see directly down the bore you could try one of those inexpensive magnetic probes that most chandlers sell - it should draw at least one out of a bore if there are any present.
