Just started the process of buying another sailing yacht, I live in Scotland and boat currently lives in Portsmouth. I'm looking for recommendations for a meticulous surveyor to check over the boat, a Beneteau Oceanis 37, in the port Solent area. Can anyone help out. TIA

Jim Pritchard, lives on IoW but will come over on the ferry. Not cheap but found loads of issues on a mono I was looking to buy.

I am a surveyor myself but based in Shropshire but for the South Coast I strongly would recommend Nick Vass at Marine yacht surveyor South Coast UK he won't miss nothing

Just about to post on here regarding this very issue I'll drop him an email, nice one thanks. Just had a quote from John Shepherd transport this morning but more is good.

A phone call might be better. They are a bit old school and don't reply to emails in a hurry. The broker we bought the boat through recommended them and then whilst we were mooching around Hamble Point meeting people, the guys at Desty's highly recommended them too. Validated our choice which was nice.
