I used Simon May for the purchase survey of my Nimbus 320 back in 2010, and he also surveyed it for the new owner when I sold it in 2014. I found him to be very thorough and informative with regards to the Nimbus brand boats.........so highly recommended.

I've just seen Andrew touching up all the chips in the paint where Simon has gone round rather aggressively with a hammer testing the hull. He's not impressed and I don't think I would be either!

In all my years on this job with all of the engine inspections and sea trials I have worked with many surveyors , however I have only ever seen one surveyor paint over the scrape patches after moisture readings have been taken , the rest leave the hull for the barnacles to grow.

I realise you're the forum idiot but even so if you've agreed a survey is non-destructive there should be no damage to a boat.

This is the web site for them all www. ydsa.co.uk I always use A W Byrde & Associates. A 12 metre boat will take 8 hours. If your buying he is the man selling a different story. Which is how you want it as a purchaser.
