Sunset at anchor

M, unless other boats (and also the islet! :D) follow him wherever he goes, that's bound to be the same place of the sunset, I reckon...

Of course they follow Bouba everywhere! He has a harem of boats following him. The reason I ask is that the anchorage in the pic looks a lot more protected than I thought Lord JCB's bay was but then I've only ever seen it from a couple of miles offshore

Aha, I see.
The islet on the left side of the pic does look the same, anyhow.
Who's Lord JCB, btw?

digger manufacturer
Wow, THAT Lord B.? It's surprising to hear that such person is against EU.
I guess that when you've got that much money it's easier to sympathize with the likes of Farage, without even bothering to think whether their claims make any sense or not... :ambivalence:
Does he also think that Trump is the best President they ever had over the Pond, possibly?

I feel like I owe the forum an apology:(
You see, I’m not a Polar explorer, I don’t raft down the Amazon.
I’m an old man boater:(. I go round the corner have lunch and feel like I’ve had an adventure:)
I just thought I’d share:)

The Plage de Pellegrin is a 2km walk from Leoube (all owned by JCB, but his superyacht is not here today).:)

I know one possible reason why but its the wrong forum to discuss that. But yes being born with a silver spoon in his mouth does allow him the luxury of holding whatever political views he fancies knowing that he himself will not suffer any reduction in living standards. And yes, like many people in the UK (more than you'd think) I suspect he's a Trump fan

Serious question. Which is the most protected overnight anchorage along that bit of coastline and which have beach restaurants where you can eat dinner?

Leoube with out a doubt!
Oops forgot, no restaurant
Estagnol has protection and restaurant but parking is tight with your big boat
Bregancon for all round

Can you tender around to Estagnol from Leoube or is it just too far/too exposed?

Can you tuck in on the east side of Bregancon to get some protection from westerlies?

Is the fort at Bregancon open to the public?

I’ve tendered from Leoube to Estagnol but I didn’t like it. You have to go round the rocks and it means you have to face boat wakes. Others are probably not as nervous as me. Distance wise it’s not far, about the same as tendering to the restaurant at Pellegrin. I much prefer to tender in that direction.
There are numerous little inlets west of Bregancon but most are exposed to the prevailing conditions.
The fort is opened to the public but not very often in the year! Guided visits only

I suspect Mr Macron wont let me in then! Am I right that Fort Bregancon was where he entertained the Maybot last year?

Last year or the year before. I ran a thread on it. I asked the forum what they wanted me to yell at her but they couldn’t make up their minds!
I think that I anchored there for the occasion

I'm sure I would have advised you to use plenty of words beginning with f and c!

Can’t think why I would not have anchored outside the President’s palace in my boat with its large registration number printed on the sides and follow your advice??

So Mike are you planning on bringing your mini superyacht to these western climes? I would be prepared to move out of Chez Bouba to experience the extra luxury of your floating Italian palace
