WE, ............... , ARE THE EXCLUSIVE OFFICIAL IMPORTERS OF SUNSEEKER FOR SPAIN AND PORTUGAL .

PLEASE FIND ENCLOSED PICTURES OF THE TWO MODELS MARK I AND MARK II

MAIN DIFFERENCES:

MARK I : ENGINES 2 X 230 HP.VOLVO KAD 42 DP DIIESEL
MARK II : ENGINES 2 X 260 HP.VOLVO AQAD44 EDC DIESEL (ELECTRONIC ENGINES)

DIFERENT WINSCREEN
DIFERENT SUPERESTRUCTURE
DIFERENT CONSOLE MOULD
DIFERENT STERN

PLEASE FIND ECLOSED DETAILS OF A SUPERHAWK 48 MARK II THAT I HAVE FOR SALE (REAY DECEMBER 1999) ONLY ONE OWNER.BOAT LYING AT BARCELONA

PLEASE IF YOU HAVE MORE QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT ME

REGARDS

You've guessed it................. the pictures were of a Mark 1.......aaaaarrrgggh

Now I know you guys have a lifetme of complaints about this business, but even Estate Agents don't show you the wrong house ..

Am I being unreasonable?

Hmm

You need to be quite rude and nasty to sunseeker, they love it. Meet them and shake hands in sunglasses, and flick cigar ash around the place. Sounds as tho the 48 mite indeed be The Boat. If it has 2x 260s then it must be a mk 2 right? If all else fails, ringem up? Bear in mind how biased they all are. Even me: I am dead keen on you buying a boat miles away and getting a free zoom on it back to la rague.

I didn't cover that bit.
He actually sent me 3 pictures of Mark 2 helm, stern and starboard side view AND the details of the boat for sale . So I'm not sure he knew the difference...so I pointed it out to him.

His response was 'Sorry for confusion' if I know more than him , I just can't buy through them

Re: Hmm

Mk 2 / Mk 1 ...just want a good one at a FAIR price for all. I'd prefer to buy off BvdH to keep in with him, but...

I'm not going near this brokerage, but if the guy/dame selling it wants to contact me privately......use this forum.

P.S. I now have spreadsheeet of 9 Superhawks available in Med. Sad so and so, unfortunately many brokers at 1 or other of shows over next 2 weeks

Re: I disagree!

You can't insist on buyng only from people more knowleageable than yourself, can you? I mean, if they were dead clever they'd know how far they could push you, and so on.

Anyway, ccscot's boat is out there, but he has unintelligently parked it in the wrong place when it should be in the midle of this pic:

Re:spreadsheet - casting my vote

Great spreadsheet. I thought the Mk1 was condidered to be the one to go for, in which case Bart vdH's seems to be the best choice? It's the newest Mk1 available, and later engine series. Probly has generator too? Manual bogs can be electrified (calling Haydn) and otherwise good spec. So get that one?

What are you calling Haydn for, his bog remains firmly manual and a good job (?!) too, don't want to be electrified.

Re: the warren

If you go back you might bump into Ken Barlow from Corrie Street who has a chalet there. The warren has come on a bit over the years and now a bit of corrugated metal wrapped around a timber frame with some placky windows will set you back about £130k if you have the view of the beach. The good news is that you don't own it and after about 15 years they will ask you to put another one on to keep up with the neighbours! Then again you could buy a nice boat:))

Not you of course you have a nice boat, I meant to say "one could buy a nice boat"

Re:spreadsheet - casting my vote

Interesting a clear vote for the Mark 1 with KAD44s. The gelcoat on the Mk 2s loks 'better' as opposed to newer...I was going Mk 2 route until you say that....

Nice spreadsheet and photos, Learner. One point, though. You've got 230(KAD44) in a couple of cells - the KAD42 has 230hp and the KAD44 has 260hp.
Just out of interest and because I'm thinking of putting a boat in the Med for charter, are the ex VAT boats charter boats and if so, how does their condition compare to the others?

Thanks.

The KAD42 vs KAD44 information is unfortunately as provided by the brokers and where I have not yet been physivally able to validate which they are. Brokers are the pits. of the ex-VAT boats 1 is ex-charter the other is owned by an American (company). I haven't seenthe ex-charter boat but even the broker said it wasn't in great condition.

As a Med charterer , ex-charter boats frighten me . They really are abused.

Re:spreadsheet - casting my vote

They all look okay to me!!

Imho,

twould be expensive to change the "race" controls with sepret gears and throttles and these always seem a bit weird/awkward to me.

twould not be spensive to elctrify bogs. But on a quiet night, manuals are much quieter than BZZZZ lectric ones.

Blue seats won't show muck as easily as white ones, and la rague is near a train line and under a flight path. But white looks the biz.

Unleess you really know what you are doing, pay the VAT. But it's still a bloody pain in the arse imho with accountants etc etc in what should be a holiday. If you rentitout and you might get 6k ish net per week thru an agent but only in august

I bet more of them have a liferaft, or no?

This looks like a long-term dither! Just buy one. That one in mallorca (IBC) looks ok.
