This is the boat that we featured in MBM last month and I seem to recall that it was owned by a forumite. If it is you, please PM me because I may have some useful info for you.

Yes, you will see 'one away' out in the bay, but you need to be quick unless it's at anchor:D

Thought so - have replied to your PM too. Beer soon?

Will keep a lookout for Dave - I hadn't realised it was Epervier's boat previously - clearly a Man of great classic taste as he's done the 'Arrowbolt thing' too and current vessel is another work of art! :D

After four and a half years of owning her, I got pissed off with the weather, it seemed to be always raining, and with the camper top up she looked a pig, that's why we moved over to an AWB, (all weather boat) not, all white boat:) now we can enjoy boating even if it's pouring stair rods.

there is one in my marina moored near the bars. It has black and red stripes. cracking design - looks like its going fast when its not moving. always reminds me of late 70s, early 80s sports cars that I grew up dreaming about. Definite classic

I had a Portofino 31 a few years back. I liked lots of things about it but you did need to wrap up a bit in the winter:

:D

As in the video, these older Sunseekers seem to have gone through the 'looking dated' phase and can be judged in their own right as great boats.

I am ideally after something a touch shorter but still on diesels and that a previous owner has lavished some TLC on. Thinking of an Offshore 28, or possibly a diesel converted Mexico. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience of these?

Take a look at the Monterey 27 or hawk 27, or even a portofino xps 25

I keep telling myself to buy something sensible with one engine and a wheelhouse for all weather use ... but these do look tempting don't they? I liked the look of this one and a Tomahawk 37 (?) also on the market at a sensible price. Pros = timeless design, well fitted, quick. Cons = old engines maintenance, fuel consumption (anyone?) and maybe osmosis?
Thoughts ...... ??
