indeed. Go on then, take the plunge and buy it! What jolly fun it will be! You are exctly right for that boat and it is just waiting for you. okay, so it might be a misprint and it's £260k but what the heck, it's only money and you can't take it with you, and once you've gottit they can't take it off you! Well, yes they can, but at least you had the thing and tyhey can't stal the memories, although those would be overlaid with other memories of benkruptcy courts, erm. Well, anyweay, just jolly well buy the thing. Where is it?
advertised by essex boat yard, i think it was up at ard 220k prior to this ad, and given the glowing report mbm gave them last month it sounds like it may be correct.
I love your comments on jst taking the plung, memories, cant take it with you, only live once blah blah blah, so already taken the plunge and ordered a new one for next season. Its just that the misses dosnt quite yet share the same rationale on the matter. yet....
New sunseeker ordered eh? Well this is more like. Far to many people hereabout are deboating themselves, whereas you are single handedly averting a recession. Tellus all about it, without too much bemoaning of the fact that er second hand prices have just fallen 20%. Mind you, 2nd hand sunseeker dealer prices seem to confuse themselves with houses, going up rather than down, so bit of realism is no problem.
ordered a new camargue 50 hard top version(see PM too). the thinking was that the normal is to buy assets that appreciate in value but in the case of current economic climates most asset classes, houses included may hit a period of disinflation or deflation. At least with a boat you know from the offset that as a rule it only goes down in value. So buy stocks, houses and watch them de value or buy a boat and watch it de value - easy decission wouldnt you agree...
Bought a berth at Camper & Nicholson in Portsmouth so will be kept there for a while and then hope / plan to move to med but not sure where.
I did contact 'learner' via PM when he was looking to buy a sunseeker in a syndicate but that one died a death.
Dealer second hand prices make the marking to market the value of the boat easier on the mind so I dont mind the over onflated prices.
I have seen it in person, it's next to a little 25ft Sealine I nearly bought. Its certainly very impressive, but has been bashed very hard on the bathing platform, there are/were big holes where GRP should be.
If someone on this forum buys it then I will offer my berth for FREE for the season / year provided the purchacer offers a couple of days out for the rest of the forum..
Last boat was a Superhawk which I loved, that too was bought new from sunseeker sales Poole, Service from start to finish inc aftersales was superb. Ive been speaking to Christian from SSS who is a larger than life character and has been just superb from day one. Had sportsboats prior to that and this was my first larger boat. At time of buying the last boat it was a toss up between the superhawk and a camargue 44, even though the cam44 was a lot more money and also im sure more commission he persuaded meto go the superhawk route.
reason sold last boat was down to new baby arrival, boat sold in dec 02 and couldnt bear another summer without a boat so against the wifes wishes took the plunge again.
went for the hard top for as you say, saves messing with canvas and also use the boat 10-11mths a year so with heating in the cockpit it makes a nice winter getaway - even in the UK....
I have been on this boat...even after the clean up it looks like it has had a hard life. Probably some corporate hospitality toy. Lot of boat for the money but a lot of bills! It was out of my league anyway, but i could of afforded the TV in the Cabinet.
