Sunk at Calshot?

My friend sent me this photo today, from Calshot. No explanation, so perhaps it is old. Anybody recognise the scene?

Certainly looks like Calshot but those buoys are in quite deep water so it must be semi submerged and just about afloat I would think

Must be this year, 2021, the year of the paddleboard.

Pretty sure it’s not Calshot, potentially powerstation creek at the old Fawley Power station. It’s definitely Southampton water with Fawley as a backdrop

According to my mate, it has been that way for some time. Just swamped, rather than sunk.

Is the muddy side of Calshot, not Calshot? But I think you're right, it's closer to the power station.

Did they travel back through time to 1995, buy the the best digital camera money could buy, and travel back specially to take that picture?

Judging by the relative positions of chimneys and sheds the photographer was stood about here.

? Very possibly. My mate has taken consistently shaky low-def pics and video of me sailing, for all the years I've had my boat. Meanwhile, the footage I took of him in his boat, racked up thousands of views on Youtube.
